A few steps from your cottage awaits your 18-to-20-foot Lund Outfitter or Pro V with a 60 – 130hp Honda motor. Outfitted with top-of-the-line sonar units with 9” screen, down imaging, CHIRP and GPS. 25-watt Radios and first-class anchoring systems. Of course, live wells, minnow wells, bilge pumps, nice comfortable seats and trolling motors!

However, our portage acts like a gate allowing only limited fishing pressure on the remote unspoiled waters of Nungesser Lake.

Wine Lake Camp was started in the early 1940’s by several Cree Indian brothers who grew up and guided tourists in the area.  One knew how to build log cabins; another had a boat, and a third one had $50 to invest.  The camp currently is home to eight rental cabins – each sleeping from two to eight persons per week, a lodge with an attached laundry room and pantry, a central shower house, half of a dozen outhouses, an icehouse for refrigeration, a fish cleaning shack, and a boathouse/shop down by the main dock.  All of these are spread out on 3 ½ acres of rocky shoreline, surrounded by crown land and 25 miles by water from anything that even slightly resembles civilization.  Please come and join us in some of the most untouched land NW Canada has to offer.

For more remoteness stay at one of our Boat-in Outposts on Woman River or Confederation Lake.  WRC is a remote drive-in housekeeping camp on the Woman River Chain of Lakes.  Easy to navigate and well protected from the winds, superb fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout and Perch.  Our main camp has 9 beautiful cabins fully equipped for your convenience.  Free WIFI, ice, use of our 11 portage lakes, electricity on the dock and fuel, reliable and safe boats with 20-50 hp motors, with fish finders.  Great hunting for Black Bear, Moose and Small Game.
